The Sevier County Senior Citizens' Luncheon will be held Thursday, November 16th, at the De Queen Elementary Cafeteria. The luncheon will start at 11 AM.
De Queen Public Schools will be accepting referrals for the Gifted and Talented program until Friday, Nov. 17th, 2023. Students in 3rd-12th grade may be referred. DE QUEEN TEACHERS PREP TO RAISE LITERACY
De Queen Public Schools will continue its commitment to improving our students' literacy skills. This week our teachers particpated in a refresher course on the Science of Reading facilitated by Jill Collins. The presentation included a review of syllable types and a strategy for decoding longer words. Teachers practiced the strategy with their peers and look forward to implementing it with their students this school year. #LeopardFamily #leopardpride
