Leopard Launch Degree Plan
The Leopard Launch degree plan is a program that allows qualified ninth-grade students to concurrently enroll in high school classes and college classes through UA Cossatot. Students enrolled in the concurrent pathway will have the opportunity to graduate with an Associate of Arts Degree in the same month they receive their high school diploma.
In order to participate in Leopard Launch, students must meet the entrance requirements established by De Queen School District and UA Cossatot. Students must be enrolled in Algebra I and Physical Science in the eighth grade (Accelerated Pathway), meet the cut score requirements for ACT, ACT Aspire, or Accuplacer, and have no unexcused absences. Teacher recommendation ratings from science, math, English, and social studies teachers will be utilized. Criteria not covered will be determined by the committee. The top 20 students will qualify for Leopard Launch. In order to remain in Leopard Launch, students must maintain a 2.0 GPA per semester and follow enrollment requirements set by UA Cossatot.
