Governor Hutchinson Delays the Start of 20-21 School Year

On Thursday, July 9th, 2020 Gov. Hutchinson announced that the start of the school year would be delayed in order to give school districts more time to prepare for the 2020-2021 school year.  De Queen Public Schools will now begin the 2020-2021 school year on Monday, Aug. 24th.

While De Queen Public Schools was on track to safely welcome students back on the original date, the administration, faculty, and staff will continue to work tirelessly to ensure our students have a safe and productive learning environment when we return on Aug. 24th. The district will continue to monitor state guidelines and communicate any changes with the community.
