Cassady Crocker Named 2022 Regional Counselor of the Year

Southwest Region Arkansas School Counselors have named Cassady Crocker the 2022 Elementary Counselor of the Year.

School Counselors are nominated each year by fellow counselors and administrators.  Cassady's nominator Angela Lindly wrote:  She has a passion for her students and shows true love and concern for them.  She is the true definition of an amazing counselor.  You never find her without a smile on her face and she never complains about the task at hand.  She has helped start a number of programs at De Queen Primary including our 1st AttenDANCE and helped get the Primary clothing closet off the ground and running.  Her passion is seeing kids grow not just academically, but emotionally.  Her passion is contagious and inspires me to be better.

Cassady is married to Ethan Crocker and has 2 children, Hattie and Hayes.  She graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and then continued to earn her Master's in School Counseling and Leadership.  During her 8 years in education she taught kindergarten before accepting the elementary counselor position at Mount Ida.  Cassady is currently the 2nd and 3rd-grade counselor.  Cassady will now compete for the overall Arkansas Elementary School Counselor of the Year.  All recipients will be recognized at the Arkansas School Counselor's Conference June 27-29 at the Hot Springs Convention Center.
