Gloria Jean Caldwell is one of seven children of Robert and Emmer Bell. She was born and raised in De Queen, AR and is a 1974 graduate of De Queen High School. She was in the first class to graduate from the Cossatot Community College, currently CCCUA, with a degree in Business. Gloria has been married to Donald Caldwell for 26 years. She has two daughters, Kyesten and Halley, who graduated from De Queen High School. Kyesten attainted her BA in Psychology from Alabama A&M University and Halley is currently pursuing a Business Management degree at the University of Central Arkansas. Mrs. Caldwell has worked 36 years for the De Queen and Eastern Railroad as Administrative Assistant and Payroll Manager. She became a member of the De Queen School Board in 2009. Learning the processes for operation and maintenance of our schools for the best educational opportunities for the students is a huge responsibility and it is also very rewarding. It is by far one of the most rewarding positions in Sevier County. In Mrs. Caldwell’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, promoting education, and reading.
