Welcome to my online classroom.

I am looking forward to having a great year. I will work with the students on creativity, thinking skills, independent studies and research, math, science, and coach the students when they participate in Quiz Bowl and Chess tournaments.

May 4th- The Reluctant Dragon presentation (Primary)

May 1-5- ACT Aspire testing

May- Mother’s Day gifts, Tinkering Fair, ACT Aspire testing

 

 Third grade students have learned about insects and designed  3-d projects depicting an  insect of their choosing. Currently the students are completing an Engineering is Elementary unit on submersibles. The third graders will design, test and improve a submersible that they construct.  

Fourth grade students conducted  an independent study on a country of their choice and completed a 3-d flag and indepedent project. Currently the fourth graders are designing and constructing a ScribbleBot to be showcased at the Tinkering Fair on May 4-5. Fourth graders will begin an Engineering is Elementary unit on electrical currents beginning April 26th

Fifth grade students completed  an independent study on National Parks in the United States, they build a diaroma of their chosed park. Currently fifth grade students are working on an Engineering is Elementary unit in which they will design, test and improve a parachute. Fifth grade students are also designing and constructing a ScribbleBot for the Tinkering Fair on May 4-5.
